The Aspiring Canadian Poets Contest is now accepting submissions for their 2014 contest. Since its inaugural launch during National Poetry Month in 2012, the contest has recognized and developed unpublished Canadian poets. The prizes for the three winners (1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners) of the contest:
-The publication of their contest winning poetry on the contest website
-A listing of their names in the November issue of Quill & Quire, Canada's Magazine of Book News and Reviews
-Private online mentoring sessions with the contest judge (valued at $1,000 among the three winners)
This year's judge and mentor will be award-winning poet Catherine Owen. For more information on the contest and how to enter, please visit the Aspiring Canadian Poets Contest website. The contest will accept entries from April 1 to June 1, with winners announced in October 2014.
