Call for Submissions! The Little Bird Writing Contest presented by Story is a State of Mind

When creative writing instructor Sarah Selecky started tweeting daily writing prompts to help emerging writers, she couldn't anticipate the enthusiasm of the response she'd receive. The prompts were so popular that eventually she established the Little Bird Writing Contest to give writers a place to submit and celebrate the pieces they wrote from her prompts.

This year, the contest opens April 26 and closes May 26, 2016. Acclaimed Newfoundland author and CBC Canada Reads winner Lisa Moore will serve as final judge.

Stories may be up 2500 words and must be inspired by one of the prompts from Selecky's site. Writers can sign up for a free month of prompts in the lead up to the contest deadline.

Good luck to all the writers entering the Little Bird contest!
