Don McKay to Instruct at 2013 Sage Hill Poetry Colloquium

Share |

The Sage Hill Poetry Colloquium has long been one of the most respected and productive writing retreats in Canada. This year's intensive two-week spring workshop, run from May 10 to 23, will be overseen by the incomparable Don McKay. Don McKay has won numerous poetry awards, including two Governor General's Literary Awards and the Griffin Poetry Prize, and is a Member of the Order of Canada. He is also a talented editor, capable of inhabiting another poet's voice and imagining where a manuscript-in-progress might reach.

Writers attending Sage Hill Poetry Colloquium should have a significant publication history and have a manuscript currently in progress. Over the two week rural retreat, writers will have time to write, meet Don McKay for one-on-one critiques, and attend group meeting to discuss recent thinking on poetry. Eight writers will be selected for the program.

Applications are due March 1, 2013. For more details, please visit the Sage Hill website.
