Inaugural Issue of Lost in Thought Launched

Lost in Thought is not your average magazine. Pairing writers with visual artists in hopes of facilitating collaboration, Lost in Thought publishes works from all kinds of creative minds. The magazine seeks to combine written work with images, with either the images created specifically for the piece, or the words are written around an existing image. The works don’t have to be new; Lost in Thought aims to create a new piece by combining text and images from different sources. “When I came up with the name, I was trying to come up with something that described the way I felt when sinking into a great short story,” says Kyle Schruder, a graphic designer and creator of Lost in Thought. Though the first issue focuses predominantly on the short story, the magazine is open to all kinds of options, and upcoming issues (the magazine is published biannually) may be produced in different formats. Submissions are accepted worldwide, with the current issue boasting talent from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Brazil and, of course, Canada.

The inaugural issue of Lost in Thought can be ordered through Magcloud.
