Chaudiere Books, founded in 2006 with the mandate to produce books that engage the Ottawa-area literary community with the outside world, is seeking support as they rebuild after being relaunched by rob mclennan and new co-publisher Christine McNair. Chaudiere Books is one of the few small presses in Ontario that focus primarily on poetry, and have frequently published first-time authors as well as showcasing existing literary talent. Since its inception, Chaudiere Books has published more than a dozen works of poetry and fiction, and this fall will be publishing first poetry books by Amanda Earl and Roland Prevost, as well as a new collection by Lampman Award winner Monty Reid.
Chaudiere Books has launched an Indiegogo Campaign asking for support through this difficult rebuilding year. They are more than a third of the way to their $5,000 goal, which they are hoping to reach by September 14, 2014. Of course, excellent perks are included with each donation, among them books, chapbooks, out-of-print materials, a documentary and even a bookbinding.
