Wherever you may be between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. this Friday afternoon, September 13th, tune in to Kingston writer Bruce Kauffman's Finding A Voice program on CFRC 101.9 FM. He will be hosting an in-studio interview and poetry reading, followed by selected readings from the recent Poetry at the Artel open mic.

In the first hour, Bruce welcomes Sadiqa de Meijer, winner of the CBC's Canada Writes Poetry Prize last year. Sadiqa will launch her debut collection, Leaving Howe Island (Oolichan Books) on Sept 29th as part of the Kingston WritersFest.

In the second hour, you'll have the chance to hear poetry from the September 3rd edition of the Poetry at the Artel open mic, which features readings by Shriya Hari, Brent Raycroft, Bob MacKenzie, Roger Dorey, Cassandra Whitty and Jeff Drady.

The broadcast will also be streamed online at www.cfrc.ca.

Open Book: Ontario has profiled both Sadiqa and Bruce in recent months. Click here to read Sadiqa's Poets in Profile interview, and here for Bruce's feature.
