The Ottawa Bookmark plaques, one for each offical language

The Ottawa Bookmark, located in Old Ottawa South, features an excerpt from Elizabeth Hay’s novel Garbo Laughs. The passage shows one of the characters skating home along the Rideau Canal and encountering another character in search of her boots. It has the distinction of being the only Bookmark to date to include two plaques, one for the excerpt in English, one for a French translation.
