Don't miss the 24th National Capital Writing Contest. The deadline is February 4, 2011.
The 24th Annual National Capital Writing Contest (NCWC) is accepting themed entries in the following categories:
* Adult Short Story (max. 2500 words)
* Youth Short Story or Essay (13–17 yrs.; max. 2500 words)
* Poetry (not Haiku; max. 60 lines including title & blank lines)
It is anticipated that all finalists will attend CAA-NCR's 24th Annual NCWC Awards Night, May 10, 2011, 7:00 pm, Ottawa Public Library auditorium, 120 Metcalfe Street at Laurier to ensure the presence of all and to allow all to celebrate the evening with fellow entrants, families and friends. First place winners will be asked to read their entries.
