October 28 – 30 3-day writers’ retreat

Get away for three days of intensive writing activities. The weekend is packed with everything you need to get you fired up to write all winter long.

- Workshops with three powerhouse facilitators
- Fireside discussions with award-winning poet and author Barry Dempster about the writing life and the biza chance to discuss your writing with the facilitators
- Goup reading and feedback sessionsthe energy that comes from writing and chatting with a community of writers
- Private time to write

Writers will enjoy three days that balance creativity sessions, group activities, and dedicated writing time all in a natural lakeside setting with modern conveniences, meals and a private room in the Fireside Inn at Fern Resort.

Gwynn and Ruth create a space that offers you all the things retreat participants have come to expect from a Writescape retreat: inspiration and support; private, personal space and energizing group sessions; comfortable accommodations and excellent food; nature close at hand and cozy fireplaces and comfy chairs. In short, a place to encourage your imagination and time for dedicated focus on your needs as a creative person.

This fall, Writescape has exclusive use of the Fireside Inn at Fern Resort on lovely Lake Couchiching in the Muskokas just under 2 hours from Toronto. This wonderful venue offers our retreat participants private rooms or shared accommodation, a fabulous water-side group space; lake-view dining in the charming Heritage Dining Room; lakeside boardwalk and area trails; indoor pool, spa and exercise area, and so much more.
