ABOUT THE AUTHORS:

David W. McFadden’s extraordinary literary career has spanned five decades. Be Calm, Honey (Mansfield Press, 2008), a finalist for the 2009 Governor General’s award for poetry, is the most recent of his many books of poetry. He was also nominated for the Governor General’s award for poetry in 1984 for The Art of Darkness (McClelland & Stewart, 1984) and in 1988 for Gypsy Guitar (Talon Books, 1987). In 2008, Why Are You So Sad? Selected poem of David W. McFadden (Insomniac Press, 2007) was a finalist for the Griffin Poetry Prize. An Innocent in Cuba (McClelland & Stewart, 2005) is the most recent of his many travel books.

Angela Carr is a Montreal-based poet and translator. She is the author of two full-length poetry collections, The Rose Concordance (BookThug: Toronto, 2009) and ,em>Ropewalk (Snare: Montreal, 2006) and a shorter book, Risk Accretions, part of a set of books, Handwerk (Beautiful Outlaw Press: Toronto, 2009). She also co-authored Translating Translating Montreal with Oana Avasilichioaei, Robert Majzels and Erin Moure (Press Dust: Montreal, 2007). Angela Carr has performed and published her work internationally.
