On Tuesday, March 25th, authors Ailsa Kay (Under Budapest) and Padma Viswanathan (Ever After of Ashwin Rao) will read at Bryan Prince Bookseller.

Ailsa Kay fell in love with Budapest on a 2004 visit and has since lived there off and on for short intervals. She completed graduate studies at McMaster University and has taught writing at college and university. Kay’s short fiction has appeared in literary journals such as Exile and The New Quarterly. After 20 in Toronto, she recently returned to her hometown of Fergus, Ontario. Under Budapest is her debut novel.

Padma Viswanathan is a fiction writer, playwright and journalist from Edmonton, Alberta. Her writing awards include residencies at the MacDowell Colony and the Banff Playwrights’ Colony, and first place in the 2006 Boston Review Short Story Contest. She received her Creative Writing MA from Johns Hopkins and her MFA from the University of Arizona, and lives with her family in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
