Celebrate Poetry Month and another year of stellar poetry from House of Anansi Press with three of the most anticipated books of the year:

Oyama Pink Shale , the latest collection from Governor General’s Literary Award finalist and celebrated poet Sharon Thesen, is a sly, self-directed, yet joyously emancipatory work. A Doctor Pedalled Her Bicycle Over the River Arno carries within it all the technique, vision, imaginative labour and razor-sharp precision of Matt Rader’s first two collections but also ascends to a new and luminous, demanding, particularized realm of the human. Fearless in its language, its trajectories and frames of reference, Methodist Hatchet is the fourth collection from Ken Babstock, acclaimed by Time magazine as “one of the best things to happen to poetry in Canada."

This is a free event.
