Details

The Circle Women's Centre at Brescia University College is hosting the Brighid Festival from February 11-13.

London's very own Poet Laureate, Penn Kemp will be offering a workshop, “Born Connected, Born Remembering and Reborn Writing” on February 12th.

Through guided meditation, recall your matrilineage as you might have lived it, as you imagine it, and as you re-create it in poetry or prose. In exploring your felt connection to your own ancient wisdom, you will express that sagacity in words that are as fresh and open to the world as a newborn, but with all your present knowledge intact. What words connect us to source, draw us back to source, draw from source? Brighid as Muse is bound to inspire us when we invoke her ancestral wellspring of fecundity.

For further reference, see Penn's book on creativity, What Springs to Mind, part of which is up on www.mytown.ca/whatspringstomind.
