Poetry Alive is designed to be fun and fit to both children and adults. Anna Yin has selected several interesting yet easy-reading poems by our local poets and herself which reflect our life and open our mind. Through introducing several types of poetry (haiku, concrete poem and free verse etc), she will also discuss the difference between western poetry and chinese poetry. Anna will use PowerPoint presentation to guide this open and interactive session. It will be a fun and enlightened event. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to join.

Anna Yin won 2010 MARTY Award and 2005 Ted Planto Memorial Award. Her new poetry book "Wings Towards Sunlight" will be published in spring of 2011 by Mosaic Press. For more information please check: annayinpoetry.com.
