Join Jason Heroux and Bruce Kauffman as they launch their new books. Jason Heroux will be launching his poetry chapbook In Defence of the Attacked Center Pawn (Puddles of Sky Press, 2013). Bruce Kauffman will be launching a seed within (Hidden Brook Press, 2013). Kris and Dee, a folk/pop band, will be playing.

Jason Heroux is the author of three poetry collections, most recently Natural Capital(Mansfield Press, 2012) and the novella Good Evening, Central Laundromat (Quattro Books, 2010). His latest publication is a poetry chapbook In Defence of the Attacked Center Pawn (Puddles of Sky Press, 2013).

Kris and Dee is a folk/pop band formed by Kris Abbott and Dee McNeil, Kingston songwriters and musicians. They are just coming off the April launch of their latest and second album called “Bloom." Their first, “Still Here Inside," was released in 2011. They will be playing this evening as a duo in a short acoustic set.

Bruce Kauffman was the editor of a locally tied anthology, That Not Forgotten (Hidden Brook Press, 2012). His first collection of poetry, The Texture of Days, in Ash and Leaf (Hidden Brook Press, 2013) launched earlier this year. This, a seed within (Hidden Brook Press, 2013) is an expansion of an earlier chapbook with additional work. A third collection, The Silence Before the Whisper Comes, will launch in early 2014.
