First published in 1914, James Joyce’s Dubliners is a collection of short stories reflecting middle-class life in Ireland at the turn of the century. Dr. Tim Conley, Professor of English at Brock University, will discuss the history and significance of this classic work, including why it remains popular 100 years later, and what makes its appearance such a transitional moment in modern literature.
