Bryan Prince Bookseller and Black Moss Press are very pleased to announce an evening with two talented and entertaining authors, Marilyn Gear Pilling and John B. Lee.

Marilyn began writing in midlife. Her poetry, short stories and essays have been published in Canadian literary magazines, broadcast on the CBC radio and have won many national awards. Her poetry titles published by Black Moss Press include The Field Next to Love, The Life of Four Stomachs, Cleavage: A Life in Breasts, and The Bones of the World Begin to Show. Marilyn’s fiction includes The Roseate Spoonbill of Happiness and My Nose is a Gherkin Pickle Gone Wrong. She is an active member of the Hamilton literary community.

John is the author of over fifty published books and is the recipient of over seventy prestigious awards for poetry including being the only two-time winner of the People’s Poetry Award. In 2010, Western University honoured him with the Award of Merit for Professional Achievement. In 2005, John was made Poet Laureate for Brantford in perpetuity. His work has been translated into Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese and Hungarian and is read not only
throughout Canada but in the United States, Korea, Cuba and France. John’s many titles include Dressed in Dead Uncles, and Tough Times published by Black Moss Press. He currently resides on the shore of Lake Erie in Port Dover where he works full-time as an author.
