Coming up tomorrow afternoon, Fri. Feb 14th, between 4-6pm on CFRC 101.9fm's "finding a voice," I’ll be airing something quite different than what normally airs here – as CFRC’s “Hear the Beat” 2014 annual funding drive moves into its final days. The 10 day funding drive runs through midnight, Sunday the 16th, and before I let you know about the show I’d like to thank all of those who have already called in to pledge their support.

I developed the idea for "finding a voice" 4 years ago, already knowing there was a wealth of literary and spoken word talent in this area and felt those "voices" needed a wider audience. I approached CFRC 101.9fm with that in mind, and the show was "borne." And mine is just one show that fills but one single spot in all the great weekly programs featuring diverse and alternative shows there each day and each hosted by a volunteer just like me and each just as passionate about what they air. Now for tomorrow’s show. CFRC Programming Mgr, Camille Di Iulio, will be in studio co-hosting the show with me as we read on air the submitted "RadioGrams" that contain “Valentine’s Day messages” picked up from a few boxes around town and also sent in online. And in addition, as we intermittently promote the funding drive, I’m sure we’ll share a bit of music and other words around the holiday.
