Our workshop this month will feature the wisdom of our January feature poet Lisa Slater.

Workshop description: Healing Through Writing
For many of us, writing and performing is a way to process and navigate adversity. By learning how to give voice to our experiences and explore our feelings and vulnerabilities, we are able to access human connection, community and support. This personal excavation can lead to some of our most interesting and moving writing. Workshop participants will go through a series of exercises that will help them to begin writing through and about their biggest challenges, and there will be a facilitated discussion about the role of confessional poetry and personal narrative in spoken word.

Who: Anyone & Everyone!

When: Saturday January 19, 12pm-2pm
