Join author Peggy Dymond Leavey at the Belleville Library to hear about her experiences writing her newest novel, Growing Up Ivy (Dundurn). Peggy will be chatting about the book, her life as an author, future projects with Dundurn, and taking audience questions. This is a free event.

About the Book:

Living in grim Depression-era Toronto, Ivy Chalmers lives with her would-be actress mother and has never met her father. Come Summer 1931, Ivy is sent to stay with her paternal grandmother in Larkin, Ontario... and her father, Alva, mysteriously shows up, and is not the Prince Charming Ivy imagined. When a chance friendship with local teenager Charlie Bayliss unveils a connection to Ivy she never could have imagined, no one's life will be the same.
