Hot Damn It's A Queer Slam

This will be a two round slam for people who identify along the LGBTQ+ spectrum. If you fit into that category, bring your poems and they will find some special guests to score them. The night will be hosted by the potty mouth Cathy Petch, which promises an exciting evening of poetry and prizes.

Slam Rules:

1. must be your own original work (but you can quote/sing other work within it).

2. It must be no more than 3 minutes long.

3. There are no props or costumes, or musical instruments or livestock or dead things allowed. Just bring yourself.

4. No hate speech.

5. Get there by 7:30 for sign up, and it will cost $5.00 at the door.

There is also an open mic portion.

Added to the evening is J Mase III, a black/trans/queer poet currently based in Brooklyn. He has shared his special brand of poetry on stages around the U.S and the UK, and is the author of And The I Got Fired: One Transqueer's Reflections on Grief and Unemployment & Inappropriate Jokes About Death.
