Bryan Prince Booksellers will be taking part in the Roots en Route Festival celebrating Black History Month.

This two week festival, developed by Matapa Music and Arts Organization, is taking place at venues around Hamilton and features spoken word performance, film, photography, theatre and lots of great music.

On Family Day, the Bryan Prince Booksellers will be co-sponsoring a night with singer/ songwriter John Ellison who is best known for his bestselling song "(She's) Some Kind of Wonderful."

In his new autobiography, Some Kind of Wonderful: The John Ellison Story, John gives readers a unique glimpse into a life of tremendous hardship, violent racism and musical success.

Co-author Jon Wells will also be on hand for this event which will feature a reading from the memoir and John Ellison playing some of his music.
