Spread the word! September 25-29, Kingston WritersFest will celebrate its fifth year with something for every writer and reader. Starting with the International Marquee and wrapping up this year with a new lecture series, the festival will feature 52 events to stimulate, provoke, and delight readers of all ages and tastes. From screenwriting to poetry to creative nonfiction and historical novels, WritersFest has it all on offer this year.

Festival favourites Margaret Atwood, Joseph Boyden, Michael Crummey, Charlotte Gray and Anne Michaels will return to Kingston along with Shelagh Rogers, who will once again host the Saturday Night SpeakEasy.

New this year, to honour of the festival’s fifth and the centenary of the birth of Robertson Davies, one of Kingston’s most celebrated literary sons, KWF is inaugurating the Robertson Davies Lecture, which will end the Festival on a high note with a talk by Alberto Manguel – followed by a closing reception.
