Winner of the Shaughnessy Cohen prize for political writing, Marcello di Cintio tours the world’s best-known walls, ancient and modern, real and virtual: the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall, the US-Mexico border, the l'Acadie fence of Montreal. Walls contain or divide, protect or exclude; they define here vs. there. Join Marcello as he shares personal stories from Walls: Travels Along the Barricades and tells how walls have been celebrated and reviled and most surprising, how some walls meant to exclude or exploit are bringing people together.
