A World of Music

Glenn Dixon
Solo Presentation

Why do humans make music? Writer/traveller/musician Glenn Dixon circles the globe and reaches back to prehistoric times to explore that question. In the process, he discovers a world of fantastic instruments, melodies, and rhythms. From a 44,000-year-old bone flute to the harpsichord of Mozart, from Inuit throat-singing to Celtic strathspeys to Jamaican reggae, Dixon takes us on a musical odyssey that encompasses the science, physiology, and emotional impact of music and that includes us, too – the music makers.

General admission: $13.50/$17.00 onsite
