Muskoka is experiencing a surge in interest in the Chautauqua movement and you are invited to come and join the in this excitement.

Almost a century ago, Muskoka was known as the Canadian Summer Literary Capital, part of a larger network of assemblies across North America.

Honouring tradition, the contemporary Muskoka Chautauqua offers a unique perspective –Renewal of body, mind and spirit, through the exploration of selected literary works.

The Muskoka Chautauqua Reading Circle is presenting their signature event of 2011 - A Literary Weekend with Linden MacIntyre and Friends, June 3 – 5.

Program theme is ‘Secrets and Guilt in Literature and the Media’, and features some of our most gifted authors and personalities recognized the world over for their talent and depth of enquiry.

Special guests for the weekend include Linden MacIntyre, Steve Paikin, Carol Off, Jay Ingram, John Ibbitson, Lara Brady, Michael Jones, Marsha Skain, and Chautauqua host, Patrick Boyer.

The weekend promises to be both enlightening and relaxing. Set within the exquisite natural beauty of Muskoka, the event is at the ‘Rosseau Muskoka’, the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Minett, on Lake Rosseau.
