The Muskoka Novel Marathon is an annual 3-day novel writing event which raises funds and awareness for adult literacy in Muskoka. Writers join us from across Ontario (and beyond) to attempt to write a novel in 72 hours, some at our Huntsville venue and others as remote participants from the location of their choice. Participating writers are invited to submit their manuscripts for judging and the winning entries in each category are forwarded to a Canadian publisher or agent. Funds raised are donated to YMCA Muskoka Literacy Services and help keep the doors open to those in the community that want to overcome literacy challenges for a better life.
