Two Canadian photographers and a local columnist for The Toronto Star will be launching the book Queen Street: Toronto’s Urban Treasure, a pictorial homage to one of the city’s most diverse streets.

One of Canada’s most celebrated photographers, George Fisher, along with the award-winning Pascal Arseneau, gorgeously photographs the history and diversity of Toronto’s main cultural hub. The Toronto Star’s veteran architecture critic Christopher Hume provides the history behind some of the city’s most popular places.

Queen Street: Toronto’s Urban Treasure takes the reader for a leisurely stroll down one of Toronto’s vital arteries. The intimacy of local cafes, the contrast of the two city halls and the pulse of the bustling entertainment district are all showcased in this attractive book.

Showcasing buildings old and new, the diverse nightlife, an the history of key buildings, it celebrates the faces, sights and experiences of Queen Street.

The book will launch Wednesday, September 12th at 4:30pm, at the Rex Jazz and Blues Bar. The Renaissance Jazz Trio will provide music.
