Teen author Monique Polak will share tips for finding story ideas and turning them into novels. Ages 13-19.

ABOUT:

Monique Polak lives in Montreal, where she spends her days doing her two favorite things: writing and teaching. In addition to being a frequent contributor to The Gazette, Montreal’s English language daily newspaper, Monique is the author of eleven novels for young people. She has also taught English and Humanities at Marianopolis College in Montreal since 1985. In February 2007, she traveled to Nunavik, Quebec, as part of a teaching-about-writing project. Booklist, the American Library Association publication, put Monique's novel What World Is Left on its 2008 Editor's Choice list. Monique lives with her husband, a newspaperman, and has a grown daughter.
