Picturebook Launch: "Grandma's Turkeys" by Sally Raspin

The Brucedale Press announces the release of Grandma's Turkeys by Sally Raspin, to be launched Tuesday, June 21, at Crossroads Coffeehouse, Ferndale. The launch takes place 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., with a display of art from the book, light refreshments, and an autographing session.

Sally Raspin uses story and pictures to take young children along as a clutch of turkey chicks grow and explore Orchard Knoll farm.

Publisher Anne Duke Judd of The Brucedale Press says, “It's very exciting for us to put out our first full-colour book for children. Grandma's Turkeys is a great example of the talent of writers and artists in the Bruce/Grey area that is our focus.”

A portion of the proceeds of the day goes to the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory at Cabot Head. Sally chose that non-profit organization to support their work with birds and bird habitats.
