The adventure continues as the work of local London writers is showcased through the PlayWrights Cabaret! Scripts are chosen from a broad range of submissions and presented as staged readings over the course of two evenings (January 25 & 26) in the McManus Studio Theatre.
Come down to hear Disconnect by John Krisak, Obscured by Clouds by Paul Myers and Sticks and Stones by Steve Mielczarek. Penn Kemp's play, The Spousal Song of Teresa Harris, is directed by Jeff Culbert. The Spousal Song of Teresa Harris revolves around the exotic marital adventures of the youngest Eldon House girl who was, along with her second husband, the greatest explorer of her Victorian era as she recalls her life from her deathbed.
The Grand Theatre continues to be committed to developing and encouraging local writers through dramaturgical feedback, workshops, seed grants and commissions.
