The mission of this reading series is to foster an inviting, warm, accepting, acoustically sound and safe space where the diversity of work, style, word and voice are welcome. A comfortable space for poets and writers to read and perform their work.

For those coming to read and perform, the only assured time limit is eight minutes. Please prepare for longer if you like, because on nights with fewer readers that time limit will expand a couple of minutes or so.

This reading series is recorded for playback (with permission) on CFRC 101.9 FM's Finding a Voice.

This event also offers a display table for The Revolving Free Library and Words for Free/Barter/Sale.

This reading series is always held on the first Tuesday night of the month. There will be a short intermission with limited food and beverage provided. The event is free, with all donations go directly to The Artel. This is an open event, so feel free to invite or bring friends as well.
