Featuring Toronto's Anita Lahey and from St. John's, Mark Callanan. Poetry London's 2013 Poetry Contest winners will also be announced, and reading their winning poems.

Anita Lahey is a poet and journalist with two collections of poems: Out to Dry in Cape Breton (Vehicule, 2006) and Spinning Side Kick (Vehicule, 2011). Her first book was shortlisted for the Ottawa Book Award and the Trillium Book Award for Poetry. She grew up in Burlington, Ont., has lived in Ottawa, Montreal and Fredericton, and now lives in Toronto.

Mark Callanan is the author of Scarecrow (Killick Press, 2003), Sea Legend (Frog Hollow Press, 2010), and Gift Horse (Véhicule Press, 2011), which was named on the National Post’s Best Poetry of 2011 list. He is currently the Poetry Reviews Editor for Canadian Notes & Queries and lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
