November 1st 7:30pm - Joseph Boyden and Michael Winter in conversation with Ted Barris - Uxbridge Music Hall - light refreshments - $25

Boyden's new novel The Orenda completes the loosely connected trilogy that opened with Three Day Road and continued with Giller winner Through Black Spruce. Michael Winter is the author of a number of award-winning novels. His latest book, Minister Without Portfolio, confronts the personal effects of war.

Since the opening of the studio we have spent a lot of time thinking outside the books, but fall is the time to return to our roots - our wonderful connection with the written word and the creative minds that scribed them in the first place.

We feel fortunate to have such an extraordinary line-up to share with you -- what we are billing as our Series of Fortunate (literary) Events.

October 8th 7pm--Lawrence Hill in conversation with Ted Barris
October 17th 7pm - Patrick deWitt-a fundraiser for the G-Moms of Port Perry
November 1st 7:30pm - Joseph Boyden and Michael Winter in conversation with Ted Barris
November 17th 11am - Books and Brunch with Mary Lawson in conversation with Barb Pratt
December 4th 7pm - Rachel Joyce, author of Perfect

All five events are bundled together with three $5 dollar off coupons for $100!
