Come and and enjoy Signposts: A performance of humorous and evocative spoken word and poetry to “signpost” musical improvisation, with pianist/composer Bill Gilliam, percussionist Charlie Ringus and London's poet laureate Penn Kemp.

ABOUT:

Charlie Ringas – composer / percussionist: Charlie is the co-founder of Supermono Records that has released 32 titles. His new music CD “Revolving” will be released 2011. Charlie continues to compose and perform with different artists in Toronto.supermono.ca

Bill Gilliam - composer / pianist has composed scores for film, dance, theatre and chamber ensembles and has produced new music concerts and released contemporary jazz CDs. He continues to perform jazz and improvised new music in collaboration with different musicians and spoken word artists. www.bill-gilliam.com.

Penn Kemp is London's first Poet Laureate. She has published twenty-five books of poetry and drama, had six plays and ten CDs of Sound Opera produced, often at the Aeolian and Brescia, as well as several award-winning videopoems: www.mytown.ca/pennletters. Penn was Writer-in-Residence at UWO for 2009-10. She hosts the eclectic literary Gathering Voices, on CHRWradio.com/talk/gatheringvoices.
