Stories in the North presents Elizabeth Creith. Elizabeth was a regular on CBC Sudbury and was a featured writer/broadcaster on Richardson’s Roundup.

In the morning session Elizabeth will teach "Make 'Em Laugh." It's a workshop on writing humour. Participants should come prepared to write and a few incidents from their own experience they’d be prepared to share. This workshop is open to 20 participants.

In the afternoon, Elizabeth will teach the technical aspects of writing. She will discuss and explain word use, punctuation and grammar with humour, and provide memory aids to help you avoid some of the most common writing errors. This workshop has room for 20 participants.

To register for workshops, call 705-842-3817 and leave your name and phone number and which workshop you’d like to take. Workshops are $25 each in advance, $40 for both. If you register on the day of the workshop, cost is $30 each, $50 for both.

The doors of the I.O.O.F. hall will open at 7 p.m. for an evening of music, humour and delicious snacks. The show starts at 8 p.m. Elizabeth will read from Shepherd in Residence and other published works. Tickets are available in advance.
