On Monday, January 27th the Thrive Reading Series will be hosting Jason Heroux, Michael Casteels and Caitlin Galway. For the first Thrive reading of 2014, I wanted the reading to blow your minds.

CAITLIN GALWAY is a Toronto-based fiction writer and freelance editor. Most recently, she was the recipient of the 2012 Canada Council for the Arts Grant, the 2012 Toronto Arts Council Writers Grant, the 2012 Ontario Arts Council Writers’ Reserve Grant, Riddle Fence’s 2011 Short Fiction Contest, CBC’s 2011 Stranger than Fiction Contest, and was selected for inclusion in the 2013 House of Anansi Press/Broken Social Scene fiction anthology. She was also shortlisted for Glimmer Train’s 2010 Fiction Open Contest and Matrix Magazine’s 2011 Litpop Award, and was a finalist for the 2012 Gloria Vanderbilt Fiction Prize. Her work has appeared in numerous journals, and her debut novel came out with Aqueous Books in July, 2013. She has just signed with the Bukowski Agency for her second book.

MICHAEL CASTEELS has self-published over a dozen chapbooks of poetry and artwork. His poetry has recently appeared in: The Puritan and The Rusty Toque. He has work forthcoming on Lemon House. In 2012 He was nominated for the emerging artist award in The Premier's Awards for Excellence in the Arts. He lives in Kingston, Ontario where he runs Puddles of Sky Press.

JASON HEROUX is the author of three poetry collections, Natural Capital, Emergency Hallelujah and Memoirs of an Alias, and the novella Good Evening, Central Laundromat. His work has appeared in chapbooks, anthologies and magazines in Canada, the U.S., Belgium, France and Italy. He lives in Kingston, Ontario.
