A special evening of poetry featuring authors from the unique and dynamic publisher, Quattro Books.

Tim Conley will be launching his first book of poetry, One False Move. Writers Beatriz Hausner, Luciano Iacobelli and Domenico Capilongo will also be reading

Tim is the author of two collections of short fiction entitled Whatever Happens (2006) and Nothing Could Be Further (2011). He was also co-editor of the poetry anthology Burning City. In the time that he isn’t writing he teaches English and Comparative Literature at Brock University.

Beatriz's poetry is rooted in surrealism, especially its Spanish American expression. She has extensive work as a translator has focused on the writers of that literature. Her work poetry has been published in both in Canada and internationally, in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch translation. Recent publications of her poetry include: The Wardrobe Mistress (2003), Towards the Ideal Man Poems (2003), The Stitched Heart (2004), The Archival Stone (2005), Sew Him Up (2010). Hausner is co-editing two forthcoming issues of the journal Open Letter, is editor of the series SomeoneWater and is one of the publishers of Quattro Books (www.quattrobooks.ca). She works as a public librarian in Toronto.

Luciano is the author of Book of Disorders (Quattro Books, Spring 2011) and The Angel Notebook (Seraphim Editions, 2007), seven poetry chapbooks and two full-length plays, The Porch and Byrdbrain. He is also the publisher, editor and designer of Lyricalmyrical Press.

Domenico lives in Toronto. He teaches high school creative writing and practices karate. He has had work published in several literary magazines including The Windsor Review and Descant. He was short-listed for the gritLIT Poetry Contest 2009 and his first book of poetry, I thought elvis was Italian was published in 2008 with Wolsak and Wynn and short-listed for the 2010 Bressani Literary Award. His latest book of jazz-inspired poetry, hold the note, was published with Quattro Books and long-listed for the 2010 ReLit Award. He will be featured in four upcoming anthologies and is working on a third poetry collection and a series of short stories.
