Start the evening with a workshop hosted by Phil Hall: Larry Eigner Workshop
Larry Eigner (1927-1996) was an American poet with cerebral palsy. From his wheelchair, he typed with the thumb & finger of one hand. His 4 vol Collected Poems, recently published, is a revelation of constraint defied & made an asset. What constrains you? What cramps you shapes your line: physically, theoretically, emotionally. Eigner’s use of projected space will help us consider constraint & limitation as poetic factors.

At 8pm, join us for an evening of open mic and poetry by author Ruth Roach Pierson - Poet and educator, editor of I Found It at the Movies (Guernica Editions, 2014)
As a special treat...
Join us for the Ottawa launch of I Found It at the Movies: An Anthology of Film Poems (Guernica Editions, 2014), with editor Ruth Roach Pierson and readings by Ottawa-area poets Jacqueline Bourque, David Groulx, rob mclennan, Colin Morton, Claudia Coutu Radmore, Peter Richardson and Deborah-Anne Tunney.
