The Virus Reading Series presents Jamella Hagen, Claire Tacon and Chris Hutchinson.

Jamella’s poems have appeared in journals across Canada including Arc, Event and The Malahat Review as well as in the anthologies Unfurled: Collected Poetry from Northern BC Women, Ice Floe: New and Selected Poems and The Best Canadian Poetry in English, 2010. Her work has won The Fiddlehead's Ralph Gustafson Poetry Prize. She also placed third in This Magazine's Great Canadian Literary Hunt.

Claire’s first novel, In the Field, won the 2010 Metcalf-Rooke award. Her work also appears in Coming Attractions and Best Canadian Short Stories, published by Oberon Press.

Chris’s poems have appeared in numerous Canadian and U.S. publications. He is the author of the poetry collection Unfamiliar Weather (Muses' Company) and Other People's Lives (Brick Books).
