Give yourself a break! Come out and join us on December 14th, perform in our all-women open mic, and listen to acclaimed storyteller and novelist Marie Bilodeau recount tales of the dark and of women kicking ass (it's one of her favourite things to do). Five dollars gets you in the door (open mic performers get in free) and gives you hours of fun and inspiration.

Here's a little bit about our fabulous, feisty feature:

Marie Bilodeau has told stories across Canada of women kicking ass and standing on their own two feet. Her recent tellings include a show on Boudicca at the National Arts Centre, in the company of former VoV featured performers Ruthanne Edward and Kathryn Hunt. Marie is also a published author. Both her Heirs of a Broken Land series and her award-winning space fantasy adventure, Destiny's Blood, have been praised for their independent and realistic heroines.
