Looking for time to write? Want to boost your creativity? Need to block off time to recharge and reboot your writing? Pencil in Saturday, August 20 and sneak away for a one-day retreat with your muse. This one-day mini-retreat takes place at Glentula, Gwynn Scheltema's idyllic five-acre property on Lake Seymour.

The day is filled with inspirational writing activities to get you writing. We draw inspiration from the woods, the wandering garden paths, the lake and streams as well as the energy of writing in a community of other writers. The day is a mix of group-led writing exercises, situation-themed writing prompts and time to write and reflect. is available at several points in the day to answer any questions you may have about your personal writing project.

A light lunch is provided, as well as an all-day beverage station. If you choose to stay for the evening, a simple buffet dinner and a cosy reading and discussion session around the campfire finishes your writing day

5:00 - 8:00 Optional buffet dinner, campfire reading and discussion

Cost is $90.00 Day program - $100.00 Day program plus optional evening program ($10.00 Discount for members of WCDR and other writing associations.)
