The 4th annual Words Alive Literary Festival celebrates a rich literary heritage providing a showcase for local and Canada-wide authors. One day of author readings, public readings, workshops, and storytelling. Guests include GG winners Nino Ricci and Jacob Scheier, 2010 Dylan Thomas Prize longlisted nominee Adebe D.A., Commonwealth Writer's Prize winners Kate Taylor & Michael Helm, Charles Taylor Prize nominee Elizabeth Abbott, as well as writers, journalists, poets, and storytellers: James Fitzgerald, Michelle Muir, Bruce Meyer, Myna Wallin, Lara Bozabalian, Carole Giangrande, Tim Gordon, Bianca Lakoseljac, and Krista Breen.

As always, this is a budget-friendly and family-friendly event. Parking on site is free and a very modest admission of $5 is charged for attendees age 16-years and up. Food and beverage vendors are available, but attendees may bring a picnic lunch if they prefer. There will be a book sales table, an opportunity to get your purchases signed, a souvenir table, and much more!
Event runs from 10:30am-5:30pm.
