We are heading down for a week of great fiction and music at the Writers at Woody Point Festival in Newfoundland.

Authors appearing at the festival this year include: Richard Ford (Canada); Michael Ondaatje (Cat's Table); Donna Morrissey (Deception of Livvy Higgs); Lisa Moore (Selected Short Fiction of Lisa Moore); Miranda Hill (Sleeping Funny); Brad Smith (Crow's Landing); Linda Spalding (The Purchase); Tara Manuel (Walking Through Shadows); Jamie Fitzpatrick (You Could Believe in Nothing)and Des Walsh (Love and Savagery).

This year's festival will also include the special dedication of a Project Bookmark Canada plaque commemorating the work of poet, Al Pittman.
