If you can’t get away for a full weekend retreat, escape on a one-day getaway filled with inspirational writing activities. It takes place at Glentula, Gwynn Scheltema's lakeside country home.

Draw inspiration from woods brilliant with fall colour, the rich smells of harvest time, and the campfire, the lake and streams. Tap into the energy of writing in a community of other writers. The day mixes up group-led writing exercises with situation-themed writing prompts and time to write and reflect. Gwynn is available at several points in the day to answer questions about your personal writing project. A light lunch is provided, as well as an all-day beverage station.

If you choose to stay, a simple buffet dinner and a cosy reading and discussion session around the campfire will finish your writing day
