Writescape's winter line-up brings local wordsmiths four great ways to put money in their pockets. These hands-on workshops at Trent University Oshawa Campus take a "show, don't tell" approach that builds skills and confidence in novice and experienced writers.
Learn the art of entering writing contests in Write to Win with Ruth E. Walker and Dorothea Helms. These seasoned winners have not only won writing competitions, they have also judged and even administered them. They know what can knock an entry out of the running - sometimes even before it's read.
Participants bring the first page of fiction, non-fiction or poetry they hope to submit to an upcoming competition.
