Take your writing further with “Write On” - Writescape’s 6-week course developed intermediate writers.

Fiction and creative non-fiction writers are invited to join Gwynn Scheltema and Ruth E. Walker for "Write On", a six-session writing course aimed at intermediate writers Wednesday evenings beginning May 4 at Trent University’s new Oshawa Campus.

Scheltema and Walker are experienced instructors, award-winning writers and professional editors. Their progressive nuts and bolts approach helps writers fine-tune their writing skills, adds richness to their characters, setting and plot, and enhances their editor’s eye. Each week, writers will add new and innovative techniques to their writers’ toolkit through practical and fun exercises and discussions in a supportive and engaging atmosphere. Weekly take-home writing assignments and feedback keep the creative energy going.

The course runs from 6:00 to 8:30 pm May 4 to June 15, 2011 (no class on May 18) at Trent University’s new Oshawa Campus, on Thornton Road, just south of King Street. Registration is $125, with a discounted rate of $110 for members of recognized writing organizations (WCDR, SOH, PWAC, etc.) and Trent U students/staff. Preregistration is required.
