Join C.R. Avery on Sunday, January 23rd at noon for a writing workshop. The workshop is part of the Words Alive Festival and will be held at Great Books & Café at the Williamsford Mill. Pay What You Can.

Write with spoken word master C.R. Avery. Or bring work you’d like to share.
Then you’ll have a chance to read your work with C.R. on piano, backing you up.

C.R. Avery loved last year’s Words Aloud Festival so much, he wants to come back before he heads off to Whitehorse, LA and Europe. This special concert/workshop is Words Aloud’s way of thanking our loyal and fantastic audiences and supporters.

If you’ve seen C.R., you’ll know his high energy dynamic performances are a mix of blues, spoken word and rock and roll. If you haven’t seen him, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

He’s a one-man band, with the rare ability to sing poetic verse while simultaneously beatboxing, pounding the piano and adding wild harmonica like a plot twist. He has been described as Bob Dylan in the body of Iggy Pop, colliding with Little Walter, the Beastie Boys and Allen Ginsberg.
