Memoir is the art of sharing the significant stories of your lifetime with clarity, honesty and vivid writing. When done well, memoir allows the reader to feel as though they have lived through your story themselves – and allows you, the writer, to feel that you have shared who you are and what you have to offer the world.

In this interactive evening program, Susan Lynn Reynolds shares some advice about writing memoir – how to make your story live on the page, and the best ways to get it published. Susan Lynn Reynolds is a writer, an accredited writing instructor in the Amherst Writers and Artists method, and a former president of the Writers’ Community of Durham Region (WCDR). Her area of specialty is the therapeutic use of journaling and memoir, and she is the recipient of several awards and prizes for her short stories and poetry.
