Hidden Brook Press

Hidden Brook Press is currently at work on the exciting anthology That Not Forgotten, which will include poetry, micro prose and short fiction from writers of the North Shore region — the geographic area between Kingston and Port Hope and from the north shore of Lake Ontario up to Highway 7.

The anthology's goal is to reflect the thoughts, ideas and voices of poets and prose writers who have found or lost pieces of themselves in this landscape. There is no specific theme, and Hidden Brook Press welcomes a diverse interpretation of this call for submissions.

If you are a writer lucky enough to make your home in this beautiful part of the province, please submit up to five poems and/or up to 5 pieces of micro-prose (300 words or less) and/or up to three pieces of short fiction (1,200 words or less) for consideration. Please include your contact information (email address and phone number), a short bio and your tie to the North Shore geographic area.

Submissions will be accepted by email only. Send your entries to our editor, Bruce Kauffman, at bruce.kauffman@hotmail.com. Please type the word "Submission" in the subject box and include the submission itself as a Word attachment or pasted to the bottom of the email containing your contact information and bio.

Submission deadline is October 31, 2011. The anthology is expected to launch in the late summer or early fall of 2012. All royalties from book sales will go to the Al Purdy A-Frame Trust.

Please visit the Hidden Brook Press website for more details.
